Iran’s Non-Oil Foreign Trade Reaches 105 Million Tons
According to published reports, Iran’s non-oil exports reached 105.2 million tons valued at USD 37 billion during the first eight months of the current year.
Based on statistics released by Iran’s Customs Administration, non-oil exports during this period amounted to approximately 105.2 million tons, worth USD 37 billion. Compared to the same period last year, export volume increased by 1.17 percent, while export value declined by 3.48 percent.
During the same period, imports totaled 25.8 million tons valued at USD 39.5 billion, reflecting a 3.03 percent increase in volume and a 14.29 percent decrease in value compared to the corresponding period last year.
Main Export Destinations
In the first eight months of the year, Iran’s largest export destinations were:
- China: USD 9.255 billion, accounting for 25.02 percent of total export value
- Iraq: USD 6.719 billion, 18.16 percent
- United Arab Emirates: USD 5.216 billion, 14.10 percent
- Türkiye: USD 4.393 billion, 11.87 percent
- Afghanistan: USD 1.660 billion, 4.49 percent
Major Import Partners
During the same period, the United Arab Emirates ranked first among Iran’s import partners, with imports valued at USD 12.152 billion, representing 30.73 percent of total import value.
Other major import partners included:
- China: USD 10.760 billion, 27.21 percent
- Türkiye: USD 6.190 billion, 15.66 percent
- India: USD 1.327 billion, 3.36 percent
- Germany: USD 1.184 billion, 2.99 percent
Transit Trade
According to the report, foreign transit through Iran reached 13.5 million tons during the first eight months of 1404 (2025), marking a 9.25 percent decline compared to the same period last year.
